In Germany, the education at universities is mainly financed by taxpayers. Therefore, the students usually do not have to pay tuition fees.
However, students are obliged to pay a semester fee. This is composed of different components (administrative cost, student services, student self-administration contributions) and includes the semester ticket. This ticket allows you free use of all buses in Osnabrück and the regional trains in all of Lower Saxony!
The semester fee will be recalculated each semester.
Good news for visiting students from partner universities of the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences: You are exempt from the payment of the semester fee for a maximum of two semesters. This means that you can use the semester ticket free-of-charge
